Windellama Public School provides an innovative learning environment for local community families. The school currently supports the learning of 26 students with 3 fulltime
teachers. The school is located 35km from Goulburn in a peaceful rural setting surrounded by farmland.
There are over 30 networked computers and iPads available for student use which allows for daily access to modern teaching and learning tools. The school has an interactive whiteboard in each classroom and video conferencing facilities to enhance the delivery of teaching and learning programs.
Windellama Public School promotes student participation and leadership in a variety of forms. Students engage in regular mentoring activities and participate in a Student Parliament to improve the life of students at the school.
Parents and staff work together to enhance the learning experiences of all students. There is a family atmosphere at the school with regular parent and community involvement. The school P & C are regular contributors to learning programs and facilities.
There is an emphasis on literacy, numeracy, technology and quality teaching at Windellama. An integrated learning support program is in place with a part time learning support teacher and a part time learning support officer.
Academic achievement and good citizenship are encouraged and recognised. Students are also provided with a variety of opportunities to achieve in the arts and sport.
